Meredith Jones began dancing at age three and hasn't stopped! A Fort Worth native, Meredith began competing in group dances at age five and performed her first jazz solo at six years old. She is a Power House product and began training at Power House at age nine. At 10 years old she began training full time at Dallas Power House & joined the Performing Company at age 12. She has trained in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Turns/Technique, and Drill. Meredith has also spent many summers participating in Ballet Workshops, including the Texas Ballet Theatre and Ballet Academy of Texas. Meredith was a high school standout. Not only a high school cheerleader, but the Valedictorian of her class of over 400 students, a member of National Honor Society, Class President both junior & senior year and Homecoming Queen. Meredith has won World Champion Miss Teen Starpower, Regional Miss Teen Starpower, Starpower Special Awards, National Miss Showbiz, Regional Miss Showbiz, Hall of Fame, Starlight Distinguished Performer, and West Coast Dance Explosion Elite Dancer. In 2010 she won an award for her choreography.

Meredith has performed at Walt Disney World, Six Flags Over Texas, Dallas Mavericks games, the Dallas Women's Expo, Bass Hall, and was featured Pointe soloist in a Colleyville Area Nutcracker. Meredith also has been featured in Dance Spirit Magazine as one of the finalists for the magazine's National Cover Model of the Year. She was also featured in the Dallas Area "Dance Elite" Calendar in 2008.

Meredith's most recent endeavor is dancing with the Black Eyed Peas in the 2011 Superbowl. Meredith has trained with nationally known choreographers Kim McSwain, Mandy Moore, Dee Caspery, Sonia Tayeh, Teddy Forance and Justin Giles, and has been fortunate to train with many amazing teachers in the Dallas area. Meredith knows she would not have achieved so many of her dance goals without the training of many talented dance teachers. Currently Meredith is a Hunt Leadership Scholar at SMU, and is enjoying teaching at Dallas Power House, which feels like home. We are thrilled to have Meredith's talent among us!
